Man, that's some fucking deep shit you're spouting about Dylan's "Blonde on Blonde," ain't it? Fucking Bloomfield was a goddamn fireball, but Robbie Robertson — that fucker weaved some intense shit with his guitar, you know? Dylan, with his Hawks and those session motherfuckers, they nailed that rich tapestry of tunes. It's like every goddamn time you spin that vinyl, some new revelation hits you like a ton of bricks. And those lyrics, shit, they're like a fucking trip without leaving your damn couch. "Visions of Johanna," man, it's like a swirling whirlpool of words that sucks you right the fuck in. And don't get me started on "Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands" — that's a whole other level of mind-fuckery. But you know what? It's that chaotic blend, that fucking madhouse of sounds — guitars that cut through your soul, organs that flow like a goddamn river, and pianos tinkling like they got a life of their own. And yeah, those brass bands on "Rainy Day Women" — it's like a drunken p

I love the song titles on Blonde on Blonde. "Temporary Like Achilles" seems like something you could write a novel about.

I'm shocked this has fewer than half a million listeners. A genuine, unhyperbolic masterpiece.

"STUCK INSIDE OF MOBILE WITH THE" is not only one of the greatest cliffhangers in song title history but also a pretty decent track on its own

such a soulful album by such a profound soul man... can't describe it anyway else. It's Bob's unbridled soul connecting directly to yours whenever you put this on.

Sometimes I think that Blonde on Blonde is the best recorded and produced album ever, it just sounds so perfect. You can hear every instrument so clearly and there's such a life and vitality to the way it sounds.

A classic that earns its designation. As I've mentioned elsewhere, I think Bringing It All Back Home is far superior to Highway 61 Revisited, which despite its classic status has a lot of bland/forgettable Garage Rock/Blues Rock sounds that are pretty much the same melodically. Blonde on Blonde improves upon its predecessor in every way, with much better melodies, arrangements and lyrics. Whereas most of the songs on Highway 61 sounded like the same Blues Rock/Garage Rock tune, Blonde on Blonde's songs have a variety of moods and melodies, from the uptempo, poppy "I Want You" to the stinging guitar on the Blues "Leopard Skin Pill Box Hat" to the sleepy sounding Beatlesesque "4th Time Around" to the infectious "Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine" to the anthemic "One of us Must Know (Sooner or Later)," and these are just a handful. This is by far the most musically accomplished album he'd made to this point and there are really only a couple of duds despite its length. Genius.
