This album is fantastic, but really, what's with the album cover? Bobby looks like some hobo on the cover. Perhaps that's the look he was going for, considering it's a collection of old-timey folk standards, which were generally sung by well-worn travelers.

LOL, it is a pretty cheap looking album cover. I think Dylan is tops on my list of great artists with bad cover art. Nick Cave is another good one with some really bad cover images. I like the album covers for World Gone Wrong and Under the Red Sky much better.

I was always puzzled by the critical and popular consensus that Time Out of Mind was Dylan's "comeback album." I think Good as I Been to You and World Gone Wrong are both tremendous albums of old Folk, Blues and Country songs. Maybe it's because they don't really feature any original material that they were/are so overlooked. I also didn't think Time Out of Mind was really all that great and prefer this one and World Gone Wrong to it, but that's a topic for another time and place.

I love the last five tracks (or, on generous days, the last seven) but aside from Blackjack Davey there's little in the album's first half to lure me in.

I'm listening to this for the first time, and really liking it. Why is this not praised as a triumphant return to his roots?
