Listening to Mr Dylan's 5th album "Bring It All Back Home" released March 22.1965. Dylan started to distance himself from the protest and folk. This album was considered a new era in the evolution of Mr Dylan's music and music of the 60s in general, much to the dismay of some folkies like Pete Seeger.

His "... Blues"-songs are his best. Outlaw Blues, Tombstone Blues, Subterranean Homesick Blues, Bob Dylan's Blues, Talkin' World War III Blues, ...

Somewhere back around 1965, I went to a church youth party at Sandy Rymer's house. We were listening to singles (45 rpm vinyl records slightly larger than a compact disk with a big hole in the middle and only one song on each side). Someone had brought "Like a Rolling Stone" the flip side of which was "Gates of Eden." Man, one listen to "Gates" and I was hooked. My whole Weltanschauung (worldview) was forever changed. At my request, my grandmother bought me "Bringing It All Back Home" and "Highway 61 Revisited" for xmas that year. "Darkness at the break of noon. . .to understand you know too soon, there is no sense in trying." Right F****ing On.
