I like what they did with Flaws. It wasn't purposely released for commercial radio. It was an experiment for themselves and it got recognition which resulted in the success of their following album 'A Different Kind of Fix'. 'Ivy and Gold' is just the best tune they've put out.

I still think Flaws is their best album. There are so many folk and pseudo-folk bands which do not quite comprehend how to play this genre of music accordingly to what it is supposed to make you feel like. Bombay Bicycle Club did it right. And Jack's voice suits the acoustic guitar so much.

If you don't love this album, then it's just not your style. This is incredible album for its genre. These are amazingly versatile musicians, just all that much more impressive that they switched styles on a whim. [2]

They took it in a different direction and they absolutely nailed it. [3] If you don't love this album, then it's just not your style. This is incredible album for its genre. These are amazingly versatile musicians, just all that much more impressive that they switched styles on a whim.

It's strange that 'I had the blues...' has 3x the amount of listeners as Flaws.

not surprised at all. they'd written acoustic songs in the past and done acoustic versions of pretty much all their singles which are all fantastic! besides, they wrote ivy and gold more than a year ago - where the hell was that gonna go?! their next electric album? a b-side? :D
