I don’t use that word lightly but I absolutely concur- put this magnum opus, masterpiece in a time capsule so aliens will know we made beautiful, heartbreaking, life-affirming expressions of our existence through art. Bruce is truly a one of a kind GOAT- Some might describe him as a guy in charge of the scene… some sort of boss perhaps? :P :D hope you’re doing well friend, take care

i'm glad that you've found the song and have found it to be resonant as well! springsteen is great for this mixture of hope and desperation

I was gonna absolute exalt you with praise but then I saw that weeezer top song…. Hahaha totally jk y’all have great taste and this album is the most unsettling, yet optimistic, yet despondent, yet hopeful, intimate pieces of art I can recall enjoying. A true master craftsmen was driven to produce this work and the results are life changing

He’s such a hipster he said I’m done selling out 80,000 venues like the meadowlands 14 nights in a row (hella $$$$) to lock himself in a basement and make a masterpiece by himself. He had that deep of an urge to express. All the greats do similar arduous vision quests for their music, I.e. thom Yorke locking himself in an empty house but for a piano for three months before writing the seminal “everything in its right place”, which is another song that legit changed my life lol

One of the rare artists I can listen to live and not hurl from the quality. I prefer recorded versions usually. However, Bruce has that rare quality called talent and natural ability to translate his music in LIVE form~RIP Clarence!
