I would have loved to see Bob Seger singing this with the Bruce and the E Street Band in Detroit back in the day

screen door slam, mary's dress waves, like a vision she dances across the porch as the radio plays, roy orbisons singing for the lonely, heys thats me and I want you only, don't turn me off, I just can't face myself alone again, don't turn around don't you know just what I'm here for, so your scared and your thinking that maybe we ain't that young anymore, show a little faith there's magic in the night, you ain't a beauty but hey your alright, and that's alright, tonight. /// this must be one of the most beautiful rock and roll songs ever written

In my opinion, there isn't a better song to have playing loudly while you drive around with the windows down on a summer day.

I often like songs with this structure where there's a progessive build-up to a single climax as opposed to verse-chorus thing. Is there a word for that? Thunder Road is a stellar example.

Great! Raw young passion and emotion! Too bad he got older and his music slid too!
