Biography

Elen Yeremyan, known professionally by her stage name Brunette, is an Armenian singer and songwriter. A relative newcomer, she has previously worked with Tamar Kaprelian's Nvak Collective and her 2022 song “Bac kapuyt achqerd” was a hit on YouTube, racking up over 5 million views.

On 1 February 2023, AMPTV announced that she would represent Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool. Her song, Future Lover, was released on March 15th.

2) Brunette was a glam metal band from Hollywood, C.A. Appearing at the tail end of the 80s hard rock boom, the guys gained some underground success but failed to break through commercially. They're known today mostly for being the precursor for the later group Hardline.

Brunette started out as an idea from brothers Johnny and Joey Gioeli in 1988. Though they were an unsigned band that had no record label, Brunette became quickly known in the U.S. after releasing a lot of demos. The band played some live shows and released a bootleg known by various names such as 'Live at the Key Country Club 1989', which has surfaced online in some places yet remains obscure.

The guys also were going to star in a feature length film, which was to be directed by Roman Coppola (son of Francis Ford Coppola). However, the troubled production ended up leading to a roughly made movie that never even saw a release. Brunette still continued to play shows up until 1989 when they broke up. However, brothers Johnny and Joey formed the band Hardline not too long later, adapting some of their earlier material for their new project.
