Biography
Buzz-works is a collaboration between Jeff Hartz of Buzz-Works.com and Joseph Vargo of Nox Arcana. Their dark atmospheric albums are of mixture of sound effects and ominous music.
Buzz-Works founder Jeff Hartz (aka "Buzz Zombie") is a freelance artist and wood craftsman located in Cleveland, Ohio. His love of horror and the macabre took him into the gothic underground of Cleveland, where he met Joseph Vargo and William Piotrowski of Nox Arcana. Being a lifelong fan of George Romero's classic zombie films, as well as Sam Raimi's Evil Dead series, Jeff was inspired to create "Zombie Influx" as a tribute to the movies that warped his mind. Teaming with Nox Arcana, Jeff set out to capture the panic and terror of a zombie invasion along the lines of the 1938 War of the Worlds radio broadcast. The trio joined forces again a year later for the Halloween release of "House of Nightmares," a terrifying foray into an old mansion where unearthly sounds rise from the shadows and eerie melodies echo in the dead of night.
