Biography
Camaromance is Martine Groulx's indie folk project from Montreal QC, Canada. She has released two albums: Empty Picture Frames (under The Camaromance) (2004) and Different Paths (2006), both released through LOCAL, a CD distribution service offered by SOPREF, a non-profit supporting the music scene in Montreal. Groulx was the President of the Board of Directors of the organisation.
The lineup that recorded Empty Picture Frames consisted of Martine Groulx (vocals), Chris Olsen (drums) and Gabriel Rousseau doing all other instruments. Different Paths was produced by Patrick Watson and the lineup that recorded it consisted of Martine Groulx, Serge Nakauchi Pelletier (Pawa Up First, Beast), Chris Baang (Pawa Up First), Mishka Stein (Patrick Watson) , Robbie Kuster (Patrick Watson) and of course Watson himself.
Following the release of Different Paths, Camaromance was nominated for Most Unpronounceable Band Name and the song 28 Balloons was nominated for Best song to listen to in the Fetal Position by the CBC Radio 3 Bucky awards.
Camaromance is working on a new album entitled The Parade which will be produced by Serge Nakauchi Pelletier of Pawa Up First. It will be out in March 2nd 2010
