Biography
started in early 2009 by Ted Story, Came back a Crow is built on an open-minded technique of disassembling and reconstructing rhythms, melodies and found sounds. trained on violin as a child, Ted switched to guitar at thirteen in an attempt to escape the confines of the classical music he grew up with. soon, drum machine, sampler and synthesizer programming also became passions, as he wrote and self-produced songs through high school.
Came back a Crow is equally influenced by shoegaze, dream pop, idm, and southern rap. this creates a sound that ranges from dreamy to druggy, from loud and slick to gentle and warm. though essentially a solo project, input from trusted friends is occasionally utilized, adding a sense of perspective.
