Biography

History
Caníbal Can is an argentinian band that started out in mid 2003. The original line-up of the band (which continues, as is, to present day) had only been rehearsing for 3 months when they performed live for the first time, in August 2003. Before the end of the year, they had recorded studio material, which was issued that same year (independently) as their first EP, self-titled, with six tracks portraying the band's potential. 2004 found Caníbal Can rocking out through all of Buenos Aires' most notorious clubs, including The Roxy, Peteco's, El Teatro Sur, just to name a few. Audience played a vital role in Caníbal Can's professional performance. All the love and support from the fans demanded extra special care in the set up of the shows and sound quality. Such was the growth that year, that the band celebrated it's first anniversary in front of a sold-out gig with another local band, presenced by 500 people. By mid 2005 Caníbal Can's sound was rock steady and had quite a repertoire of songs to choose from for the shows, which became more and more frequent, and introduced the band to a whole bunch of new places they hadn't played in, San Telmo, Palermo, Parque Centenario, Monte Grande, La Plata, among others. With an increasing show schedule, audiences grew even more, peaking on the band's second anniversary, in hometown Adrogué, at Almirante Brown's City Hall Department of Culture. Gigs continued, performing along with well known acts such as Karamelo Santo, Cuentos Borgeanos, Gazpacho and Rey Guru. Three months before the end of the year, the band had slowly started demoing some of the tracks for a future full album release.

By august 2006 all songs had been demoed for pre-production. Meetings between the band and producer/musician/songwriter Guillermo "Goy" Ogalde, and co-producers Charlie Desidney and Hernán Lezak, were arranged for a cooperative effort on the bands first full blown record. By november all was settled and the band and producers started working on pre-production, which ended in march 2007. April 2nd, 2007. Caníbal Can enters studio to begin recording their first album, 'Aunque No Quieras'. Recording, editing, mixing and mastering were all done by June 13th.
