CANDIDATE23 are a 5-piece indie rock band, from the North West of England. With widely varied influences, their music has a unique and impressive sound. They are currently playing to audiences across the country, and with a vastly growing fan base, they are soon to hit a venue near you with their punchy sound, clever lyrics and thumping, rhythmic bass lines.
They have just released their latest EP, Recurring Dreams on the 6th of May to critical acclaim.
Vocalist, Will, has great range and tonal quality in his voice and writes the lyrics for the band's own tracks alongside their drummer, Jono.
Alex, who sings backing vocals and plays lead guitar, has been blessed with a natural hand speed that creates a fabulous sound. You have to see Alex live to understand just how good he is.
Drummer, Jono, also writes the lyrics with Will. As one of the founders, he does a lot of the talking, and is one of the driving forces of the band.
Ryan is the bass player. A more active bass guitarist you won't find anywhere, he entertains with clever bass lines that are catchy.
Lastly, but by no means least, rhythm guitar is in the very capable hands of Andy who is the other founder member. Mr. Super cool – he takes everything in his stride and makes it look easy.
