The penultimate track on Twin Fantasy (Face to Face), it is arguably the most changed track from the original Mirror to Mirror recording. It incorporates elements of “Unfinished: Pain Star (If heaven is full of people…”, a Mirror to Mirror outtake that was previously released on the b-sides album Disjecta Membra. In the Face to Face liner notes, “Famous Prophets” is subtitled “A Song About Jesus.”
it also serves as the track with the most emotional confusion and desperation. also it features the point within the album where will’s fantasy breaks and he is finally able to see the truth, despite how much it may hurt
