“Cold War” is a song about feeling stuck in an uninspired place around unmotivating, shallow people. Inspired by the frustrations that come from dating in your twenties, “Cold War” is Cautious Clay’s most popular song with over 70 million streams on Spotify.
Oftentimes it feels as though we aimlessly go through our days with surface level conversations and connections - “matter over mind, if we’re being honest”.
The song was featured in the movie "Booksmart" as well as the HBO Max TV show "Insecure".
