Listening back to this, it's not bad, if below par for a Celldweller album. However, Eon, Gift For You and So Long Sentiment are phenomenal. So basically, the ones resembling his older stuff are best lol.

Decided to listen through this...The Lucky One is extremely cheesy and overall it's way too electronic for my liking, especially how many pass filters and wubs there are on some tracks...Eon and I Can't Wait rock, though, and there are a few tracks that seem decent as well. In short: Dubstep ruined Celdweller. Less wub wub, more drum n' bass.

one of the most important albums of this generation, considering his songs are becoming increasingly ubiquitous

..this album 'not strong' enough to please both/all sides. Enjoyed the beats a lot, but for me it's the soft side of vocal that killed it. ps. felt an 'identity-crisis' here. MAybe you are still experimenting the genres :) anyhow Good luck Celldweller! btw "Dubstep" is NO commercial shit as some stated in the shoutbox

Putting off on buying this until I go through all his material untainted by dubstep.

I retract all of my comments from June of 2012. After 50+ complete listens on a fantastic car sound system and nearly 200 scrobbles via PC, this album has grown to become my favorite Celldweller piece. I guess it took a few listens for it to click with me, but I now appreciate the complexities of this album and the story he weaves throughout it. What first sounded cheesy/campy now comes across as intense and vivacious. Against The Tide is a weak album closer (haven't listened to the deluxe format), but that's really my only complaint now. Subsequent listens sussed out how the Klayton-dubstep eclipses the Skrillex-dubstep in every conceivable way!

I feel that this is his best album so far. So what if his style has changed? If a musical artist hasn't changed styles over the years, they're most likely a sellout. Besides, he's good at what he does and still makes some of the best and most original music I've heard.

A lot of people will hate me for saying this, but I prefer this album to his debut album.

Wow, I didn't know he made a new album. Sounds amazing so far and I'm only half way through at that!

Pretty disappointing, to be honest. =/ I'm normally all for a shift towards more electronic waters in any group that uses guitars, but this is... Er... It has Klayton's voice, but where in the world did the passion go? Where did the intensity run off to? I don't expect every release to sound like the first album, but this is pretty baffling. Dubstep is trendy and whatnot, but it's not even like two elements are fused very well. Sigh. If Celldweller is a 90/100, this is a 55/100.
