“HOT TO GO!“ is a single released for Chappell Roan's debut studio album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. The song was released on August 11, 2023, alongside an official music video.
Chappell shared the following about the song's inspiration in press release statements:
“I wrote this song so I could live out my cheerleader fantasy! I just wanted to make something simple and silly that I could do with the audience because I’m a huge fan of audience participation. Also, selfishly (and shamelessly) wanted to bounce around on stage singing a song about being hot.“ — via coup de main
“I wanted a cheerleading song, I wanted something that I could do with the audience. Like, I was really jealous of the “Y.M.C.A.”. So, I made, “H-O-T-T-O-G-O”, a little dance that I can do with the audience. And fun fact, it’s actually a real cheer. But I made up my own cheer with that. But it’s fun, come to a show and I’ll teach you the dance.“ – via NME
