"I Don't Wanna Know" is about someone's realization that the relationship they have with their partner is no longer going to work out. Charli is trying to fight the tears, knowing that letting go of the person is for the better even though it is difficult. She's trying to stay in the moment and not think about what the other person has been doing, who they might be with, or what might have happened while they were in the relationship; they don't want to know because they already know that it's over.
