Fight for This Love topped the UK singles chart in its debut week with a huge 290,000 copies. According to the Fight For This Love Songfacts this eclipsed the first week sales of the debut Girls Aloud single, Sound of the Underground.
Ms Cole came to fame as one fifth of Girls Aloud, with whom she's shared twenty consecutive UK hit singles. 'Fight For This Love' is the lead single release from Cheryl's debut solo No.1 album, '3 Words' – it soared to No.1 in October 2009 with an incredible 290,000 plus sales in the first week – knocking Cheryl's protege Alexandra Burke, off the top spot!
