Chris Corsano (born in Englewood, NJ, in 1975) is an American drummer. Capable of solo sets of the most beguiling inventiveness, featuring drums, gamelan-like metallic objects, tiny strings, saxophone mouthpieces and whatever else he has at hand, Corsano is more renowned for being a member of improvisational groups featuring the likes of Thurston Moore, Kim Gordon, Yoko Ono, Paul Flaherty, Michael Flower, Wally Shoup, Jandek, Jim O'Rourke, Evan Parker, Keiji Haino, Bill Nace, C. Spencer Yeh, and sometimes playing in bands such as Six Organs of Admittance, Vibracathedral Orchestra, Sunburned Hand of the Man, and Vampire Belt. In 2007 he toured with Bjork and played on her album Volta. He has toured and recorded in the duo Chris Corsano & Bill Orcutt.
