Sure, they looked the epitome of '80s glam/hair metal on the cover of their first record, what with the day glo spandex and hair full of Aquanet, but their sound has always been mislabeled as glam. They have much more in common with Aerosmith or Zeppelin than Poison. They've had an unfortunate stigma attached to them, because they have a lot more going on than the average glam band with a great, bluesy vibe and soulfulness to spare. This record is a fine example of that.
