What this man accomplished by age 25 - just incredible. It's not right, that we lost him at such a young age.

I guess "At Basin Street" is my favorite album. But I'm not sure. Somehow they are all great

Such a shame that he died so young, he was one of the greats. I really love the albums he recorded with Max Roach.

Probably the warmest, most fluent and most charming trumpeter in the bop realm. His lungs were capable of inhale plain ulgy air and transform it in the biggest musical magic.

Pretty digest hard bop. Usually I have enough after few minutes, this jazz is addictive.

Jazz could have gone a totally different direction if not for one shitty, rainy night. (2)

The biggest reason I look up too this man as a jazz musician is, well his skill of course, but he didn't do drugs and he didn't drink and he dispelled the myth that you needed to do drugs to be able to play soulfully. RIP Clifford.

... Huh. I honestly thought I was the only one that liked his rendition of Easy Livin' above all else. I was expecting to see Cherokee topping the charts.

Clifford died 14days before I was born.At the age of 16,I bought his album"The Beginning And The End".My favorite tunes were then"Night in Tunisia"and "Walkin'".Later I preferred his version of"It Might As Well Be Spring"which I loved to play onstage.Even I've hurd hundreds of jazzmen ,he still is my fav!
