"Èkó" is a song by Coldplay from their eighth studio album, Everyday Life. It is the third track on the second side of the album, Sunset. The song features backing vocals by Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage. The song title stands for the local name of Lagos, a city in the southwestern region of Nigeria in Africa.

Chris Martin said the song is about a made-up character named Joseph, who could be himself or someone else, who leaves the country to try to make it in the city. In addition, he also said, "…Cities are tough, and lonely, and amazing, and uplifting, and all sort of things rolled into one. And this is the song "Èkó" about that."

Will Champion revealed it was one that Chris spent some time recording in Los Angeles before showing it to the rest of the band in the studio.
