Core Zero is a hard rock quartet hailing from Denver Colorado. Originally formed in 2005 the band had several line up changes leading to the adoption of the name Core Zero. Core Zero released their first full length professionally produced album titled Doxology in June of 2010. The album was co-produced and engineered by Denver's Steve Avedis who worked with many noteworthy 80's stadium rock bands. Core Zero's sound is best described as an offspring resulting from the coupling of bands like Distrubed, Godsmack, Sevendust, Avenged Sevenfold, and Drowning Pool. The band members hail from around the country but call Denver home. While all band members have full time professions, all are professional musicians as well and come from a wide variety of backgrounds and experience musically. Several of the members started off as classical musicians and one came from a blues background. All band members have played in other bands in the past featuring many different styles from blues to 90's grunge to hair metal. The lead vocalist additionally did some part time work singing for other music projects and studio work. All in all, the new release Doxology is sure to grab the attention of rock fans from a number of different genres. The sound is described as melodic vocals punctuated by growls, heavy guitars, soaring solos, and a tight rythm section. This band is a must see for rock and metal fans!
