Biography
Seminal indie band Corndolly formed in 1991 with members Amy, Angie Heaton, Rachel Switzky and Wendy O’Neal.
With their live shows and studio work, Corndolly held forth with impressionistic songs laced with humor, tenderness, and rage delivered in a dense, feedback-laden blast furnace of sound. The combination of Switzky's and Heaton's driving rhythms fronted by O'Neal's clever, melodic guitarwork and Amy's alternately growling and impassioned vocals created a critical mass of sound that both defined and transcended the riot grrrl and grunge styles. Corndolly's recorded work continues to be played worldwide on indie radio and internet broadcasts as a document of a signature period in rock that continues to resonate.
