Les is fuckin' great in here! Wish he played on more of their albums, BUT... the tracklist is still not fixed?! Smh...

I'm not even sure anymore, they're so close in quality, and this doesn't sound like any other album in their catalogue, mainly due to Les' keyboard sound. Dusk would be the closest, but doesn't sound the same either. But yeah, i agree, this and Midian are their best for sure.

The album is great, but IMO "Bathory Aria" is a masterpiece itself. Dani's vocals sounds incredible and the atmosphere is something I can't just describe with words. Genial track!

The drums may sound like a piece of junk but you can clearly hear every detail of Barker's drumming. Personally, I could not imagine a better drum sound for this album, it's perfect for the album's atmosphere, and it is further proof that Nicholas Barker is a fuckin' god!!

The mix sounds kind of 'authentic' IMO, for lack of a better word. It feels grainy and medieval, with enough space for soaring melodies and narrative parts - perfect, but I used to hate it.
