1. Jurgen Leyers (born 28 March 1972) is a Belgian trance/progressive producer, known better as DJ Fire. He used to be known as DJ Energy but changed his dj-name in 2000. He was most succesful as part of Fire & Ice, a collaboration between him and Laurent Veronnez (aka Airwave).
Leyers began his career behind the record players of his school. Gradually it changed from the school appearances to the professional performances in dance clubs. In the year 1993 he was accepted to the crew of the Belgian radio “Rave FM”. Soon appearances in the best clubs of Belgium followed as well as in several European countries, for example at the Dorian Gray in Frankfurt, at the Mysteryland festival in Holland as well as in Switzerland. Leyers first efforts as a producer in the year 1997 were rapidly recompensed. His first project was “Energy Source”, which he produced with Dimitri Dewever. The first release became a small club hit, entered the official Belgian Dance Charts and got played by Tiësto.
