v Matt Guillory, also collaborated with James Labrie in the Mullmuzzler and in his solo albums. But Dali's Dilemma are still missed. "Manifesto For Futurism" is great prog album.

Complex sounds but a tad drab in some instances. But good music none the less. Wonder why they disappeared though.

I remember reading an interview and regarding the name, they said dali's dilemma was to create art that was both abstract and complex but also can be appreciated by common people, which is what they tried to do with their music, play complex metal with good hooks and memorable melodies. I think they achieved it, Hills of Memory sounds like a prog metal U2. Too bad they broke up, they were easily the best Dream Theater style band out in the late 90s when that whole scene was blowing up.

If memory serves their original name was Chaos Theory, but there was already a band with that name, so they changed it to Dali's Dilemma. I used to chat with Matt Guillory (way cool guy) in the Mike Portnoy's Dream Theater IRC channel and I can't remember where the new name came from. Love their CD though. Pity they didn't make more.
