With the upcoming release of his first album Daniel Alexander has sculptured his recently dicoverd passion of song-writing into a refreshing collection of songs that you will experience as an openness and lightness on one hand, but will leave you with a heavy sense of memory and emotion on the other. Mixing in influences from Soul and contemporary R&B, Pop, Rock, Electronic and Hip-hop, the album focusses on his live, love and childhood.
Born June 7, 1973, Daniel Alexander Antonissen’s background provided all of the necessities an artist needs for inspiration. Growing up in a broken home, his father leaving him and his mother at being only 4 years old, living in a small town near Rotterdam in Holland, gave Daniel the realistic depth that emenates from songs like “Not My Father’s Son”.
Before dedicating himself to music, Daniel explored Sales & Marketing, working for several Automotive companies. It was in the summer of 2009 that Daniel literally woke up one morning realizing that his passion for song-writing had returned after being away for many years. “Writing songs again has allowed me to discover who I really am. I think I will suprise a lot of people with the direction the music is taking me.” Daniel says.
