Biography

Daniel Amedee is a singer, songwriter, performer from New Orleans, LA who has been writing music since he was fourteen years old. The songs written at this tender age were inspired by the unique culture and heritage of New Orleans Jazz and street musicians performing in the world renowned French Quarter.

As he grew older and lived through high school and college, finding his niche was the easiest part. Music production and composition were natural abilities that allowed in the sharing of broad thoughts such as the developing human consciousness and resulting awareness that people are linked in the world by the common idea of dreams, aspirations, and love.

When Hurricane Katrina forced Daniel out of the city of New Orleans, he realized his opportunity to pursue a serious music career. He followed his gut and moved to Ireland to live and play music around Europe. While he was there he focused on developing his writing and performance skills, honing his music to a sound that was uniquely his own. During this time he met and played with many people and had the great opportunity of recording with guitarist Noel Hogan of The Cranberries.

After two incredible years Daniel decided it was time to travel back to New Olreans and use it as home base while tounring the United States once more. During this time Daniel met producer Charles Gonzalez in San Francisco, CA. Charles, a fellow New Orleans native, was impressed by Daniel's music and wanted to record his first full-length album "Themes From…".

Daniel unhesitatingly agreed and travelled to San Francisco in November of last year to begin recording. While there, several excellent musicians lended their talents in making the album possible. Percussionist Patrick Spurgeon (Rogue Wave), violist Charith Premawardhanna (Mars Volta, Classical Revolution), cellist Stephen Sparapani, trumpeter Max-Miller Loran (The Get-Back), and choral vocalist Megaga were the most essential part in giving these songs the life they have.
