"All you have to do is completely lose your mind!" advises DANNY REBEL & THE KGB after returning from this Summers' cross-Canadian tour in support of their debut album "Soul Shaker". The band, having only been in full formation since 2008, has just successfully completed their first tour, performing 25 shows in 30 days, ranging from their hometown of Montreal to Victoria, BC. The 2009-2010 season has proved to be nothing short of action-packed for DRKGB, having already played 6 internationally renowned festivals across Canada, including Calgary's Sled Island, Stampede, Ska festivals in Victoria, Montreal and Ottawa, as well as the Montreal Internationl Reggae festival. The band has, since its' inception in 2008, shared the stage with such legendary acts as FISHBONE, THE SLACKERS, U-ROY, THE PLANET SMASHERS, WESTBOUND TRAIN and SUBB, and played in every nook and cranny of Canada with acts such as THE VALUABLES, RUDE CITY RIOT and THE BEATDOWN, as well as having been broadcast across the airwaves on stations such as CBC-3 and Montreal's own CKUT FM. Throwing major influences such as traditional Reggae, Punk, Hip-Hop, and Jazz into the musical melting pot, heating it up until it's 1 part BANG, 1 part BOOM, and 300% dynamite results in a 6 travelling Gypsies with nothing to lose and everything to gain. When asked "what's next", the band simply replies "whatever hasn't already been done"…
