Please, everybody, don't sleep on Ian's other band, The Gentle Hits. There's a handful of such underrated bangers on that album. I need so many more songs with Ian's writing and voice.

My brother they have not posted anything for a while. They got to get DATH back together for a reunion show at the least.

I would be there for it, but I don't care if he creates a new band every few years or whatever, Ian just needs to keep doing music. But yah, Dear's return really would just be a wonderful surprise.

I miss the fuck out of this band and I keep seeing that quite a few of the members have moved on to their projects but I can't find anything about Ian Metzger, the lead vocalist. DATH were a great band but Ian's vocals really made them amazing for me. Does anyone have any info on him?

Same Aldous. Too bad that day was the day I found out about them. 2007 AP Tour with Envy On The Coast and Circa Survive. I'll never forget being so enthralled by this band while all my friends just disregarded them because they wanted to see Circa. Almost symbolic in a way I suppose.

ATTENTION! ATTENTION! DATH fans may be delighted to hear that lead guitarist/back up singer, PJ Waxman of DATH is now singing lead vocals in a Tempe band called Tony Squid. We are almost done recording our first EP and have posted a rough demo/mix of a track called "Phantom Limb" on SoundCloud. Here's some links: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tony-Squid/120046338083665 http://soundcloud.com/search?q[fulltext]=tony+squid

I'm so gutted. I was listening to them today and I was thinking "I literally can't wait to hear some new stuff", came on here to post and literally just found out about the split by reading the shoutbox. SO GUTTED! Loved these guys so much <3 Hope they do some awesome stuff seperately in the future.

Yeah, I did see all of the material available on their website which was cool but I'm upset with the letter. If they're frustrated with the "vicious cycle" of the music industry why don't they ignore it and keep creating the music they want to, the way they want to? Theres obviously an audience for their material.
