This song first appeared as one of three bonus tracks on the Japanese release of Death Cab for Cutie's 2001 album The Photo Album and later on The Stability EP, together with the 2 other Japanese bonus tracks.
It would later reappear as "Stable Song", acting as the closing track to their 2005 major label debut, Plans. The new recording is considerably shorter than the original thirteen-minute, mostly instrumental version found on The Stability EP, ending when the vocals end.
