Definitely didn't got into it when it was first published. But with time I come to appreciate it as their more ballad oriented album..which makes it unbalanced, cheesy, limited in range or whatever it is. But overall still a good one, is quite interesting how guitars and music melodies seem to be restrained here, not necessarily in a bad way. Sometime it works, sometime leave certain tunes a bit too rushed or underworked. Musically for some reason I could not even properly explain, feels to me like an acoustic album, but plugged and turned electric at the last minute before recording.. XD

After listening to this album, it just feels like they either didn't put as much effort into it or are simply not as talented (without Mutt Lange and Steve Clark). Most of the tracks I just hear Joe leading with his lyrics then supplemented with some noise/guitar. There's no lead harmony by either the instruments or vocals. Let alone intertwined melodies, their trademark no matter genre, style, or anthing "different" they have attempted in the past. I tried, but they are just not the band they use to be...

Years and years later I was re-introduced to the band by a friend who siad I should check out Slang and X. At first, I was thinking that this is not the Def Leppard I remembered. Then I realized how the hell CAN it be? It'
