Really like this one. As k_naruchiha94 said, those longer songs are fantastic. J is such a godlike guitar player. One of my favorite soloists from the past 25-30 years for sure. Unfortunately, as sunheadbowed said, the mastering job on this is atrocious; like so many albums from the 2000s and beyond, the dynamic range is squashed down to nothing, and with this being a longer album, you can get some real ear fatigue listening on headphones. A shame because I really love the material and the playing.

Can't describe how great the long songs are in this album, especially because of the long guitar solos.

Classic album, but the compression overkill is unforgivable. It almost ruins it.

"Said The People" and "I Don't Wanna Go There" are two of the greatest songs I've ever heard.

loud, full sounding, chill, guitar sex is really the best way I could describe this album.

I've been a Dj fan for, well, let's face my age....two decades....i saw this band as a teenager in their so called heydey but after listening to this album a dozen times now it is hard for me not to call this the grandest achievement. it is really a great driving, droney, poppy, heartfelt punk tour de force with plenty of the sweetness adn the guitar fireworks they are known for and my god the drumming is fucking awesome........wow those are silly words...but this is indeed close to a masterpiece.

So. Much. Guitar solo. [2] God, yes. I get this feeling sometimes that mainstream rock these days just butchers solos and virtuosity - it's so refreshing to hear so much guitar glory in this album.

Your Weather sounds like a Queens of the Stone Age song but with awesome guitars

"This is an incredibly strong album compared to the relatively disappointing Beyond. Love it." ... if you hated Beyond, you're not a real fan of this band.

It takes a really great band to go on hiatus for 10 years, get back together, and manage to release two albums that are just as great as the stuff they'd been doing before.

Personally, this is my fave album from them. It's got the rawness from their early years, but the cleaner playing that comes with newer recording tech. It's a classic.

"Is there anyone who can actually hear the bass on this album?" yes, but it's certainly not as awesome as in you're living all over me.

What a bunch of ignorance being spouted. Yes, the European version is even louder, somehow. I have the "proper" version, and when you look at a waveform, it's almost a brick wall, with clipping evident everywhere. This thing is compressed, and that's exactly the point; there are no layers to be "unfurled", no matter what your equipment is. In fact, the better equipment reveals the shit sound even more.
