Biography
The band started in the punk scene of Minneapolis around 1990 and lasted until ~1995. Their best known tracks are on the Minneapolis-saint paul compilation "NO Slow…ALL GO" which featured most bands currently playing when it was put together in 1995. Others made famous from the compilation include Dillinger Four.
There seems to be a new band trying to steal the name:
The band started out in april 2005 during a schoolproject in 8th grade.
it was the very first time dirtpoor recorded in a studio. The idea of
starting a band did come up and couple of weeks later dirt poor was official.
they learned to play instrument becouse no one of the girls had ever
touch a instrument before.
the name dirt poor is the third namechange that finaly did become the
best one. It's taken from the movie "not another teen movie"
they saw it on a car in the movie, cute huh ?
they writes the music and often it turns out to be happy punkrock songs.
the lyrics can be about happy days or deppresion etc.
dirt poor is an mix if punk/pop/rock/sk8core
the new demo "It's all aboyt you" is out for listening.
