Dj Psi Kick

Dj Psi Kick a.k.a Jeff Valbuena began DJ'ing in 1995 in San Diego, California. Since then he has participated in numerous DJ competitions, attaining a reputation in the battle scene among DJs in California.

Since then, he has contributed his scratching to numerous projects for local artists, appearing on vinyl and CD. Some of his notable works includes the scratching he recorded with his former group Unknown Entity on "The Positive/Negative Effects EP" (1999 ALT3 Records/Ackustix Music) and on a track with MC Rokon entitled "Gigabits" on the independently released "Blastoff!" compilation album (1998 Rocketship Records). During the time of the release of these records, Dj Psi Kick was also hosting an undergound hip hop radio mixshow on SDSU (San Diego State University) KCR College Radio entitled "Distorted Frequencies".

Since coming to Japan in 2003, Dj Psi Kick along with partner veteran hip-hop Dj 龍拳 (Ryu-Ken) have founded their own mix CD label "Mind Attack Music", and are currently releasing mix CDs in local stores in the Kanto area.

Currently living in Saitama, Dj Psi Kick continues to be active, entering competitions in Japan and DJ'ing in the Saitama and Tokyo area. His current projects include a new Mix CD to be released under Temple ATS records, and his new group MemoryStorm, a live MPC/Scratch band with fellow Temple ATS Dj/Producer KOR-1.

1995年からアメリカはカリフォルニア州サンディエゴでDJを始め、NumerousDJ のCompetitionに参加し、カリフォルニアのDJ Battleシーンの中でその名を知らしめる。それ以降、NumerousProjectに楽曲を提供し、現地のアーティスト(Dayze,Zion I,etc)等とコラボレーションし、CDや12inchなどに参加する。　作品の中でも著名なものとしては、彼の古くからのグループ”UnKnown Entity"による"The Positive/Negative Effects EP" (1999 ALT3 Records/Ackustix Music)

2003年に日本に渡り、そこで出会ったDj 龍拳と共に独自のMix CDレーベルA“Mindttack Music"を結成し、関東のローカルストアでMixCDが取り扱われ、話題になっている。
現在は、彼の新しいグループ"MemoryStorm"（MPC＋ScratchBand)
をTempleATSのProducer,Kor-1と組み、新たな音楽へと挑戦を続ける。
2007年には"MemoryStorm"（templeats)のアルバムが発売される予定。
