The Assistant is a song by Dogstand, written by Graeme Martin, and the fourth track from their 2012 debut album Wonky Love Songs. The song tells the story of a frustrated female assistant who has an affair with her boss's wife while he works late in the office.
The track caught the attention of the BBC's Tom Robinson (of The Tom Robinson Band fame) and subsequently received airplay on BBC 6 Music during February 2012.
