"Need to Know" is a song recorded by Doja Cat. It was released through Kemosabe and RCA Records on June 11, 2021 as the first promotional single from her third studio album, Planet Her. Doja Cat herself noted that at the time it was not the "next single" from the record and instead was released in anticipation of the "more important" next single.
"Need to Know" is an R&B song driven by a heavy trap beat, featuring erotic and seductive lyrics delivered through both singing and rap verses. Commercially, the song debuted within the top 40 of countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Its music video explores the nightlife environment of the fictional "Planet Her" and features cameo appearances from Canadian musician Grimes and American actress Ryan Destiny.
