Biography
Having created some of Canada's most soulful, eclectic electronic imports that explore the wide spectrum of tempo, Dominic Pierce has already built a deep house catalogue that is sought after in Canada and especially by fans in the US and France. Working to share both his new sounds and those of his compatriots, as the founder of Close To Modern recordings, he and fellow label mates The Midnight Clock (Ninetynine) and Flutes, have taken it upon themselves to curate Canada's exciting new forms in electronic, showcasing bedroom music that takes chances.
In the last few months Dominic has opened with energy-fused deep house sets to support acts like Fred Falke and Jacques Greene and is currently working on new material with grammy-nominated vocalist, Muhsinah. This, and a raw future house/new wave project under the alias Horoscope Mood promises to leave listeners inspired, with a full LP fans can expect both club and headphone music.
Dominic Pierce is also working on a short literary work called "Special Attitude".
