    2012 – present (12 years)

Double Echo started in 2012 as a collaboration between Chris Luna and Ash Lerczak. They aimed to revive post-punk and primitive soundtrack electronica, creating the illusion of a band from 1982 that never got noticed by 4AD. Double Echo gained a cult following on Bandcamp with their debut EP, "Black Morning," which showcased their dedication to 80s authenticity.

The following year in Liverpool, Double Echo played their first show as a live band. Chris and Ash performed with a dying tape machine and TR626, creating an immersive atmosphere with smoke, projections, and a loud amplifier. The show convinced the local label EDILS to release the "Pantomime" album on CD and cassette. Shortly after, Ritual Tapes in the US released a compilation of Double Echo's online music.

Gothic Music (Finland) released a second album titled "La Danza" in 2015, which featured new member Ellon Souter on lead vocals and a strong emphasis on cold synths. Peter Out Records (Sweden) released it on vinyl. As a result, they embarked on their first European dates, a tour of dark wave clubs in Italy. Double Echo has been working on new albums in their home studios since then. They released the "Ancient Youth" EP in 2016 and performed at a festival in Poland.
