Biography

i like to make music. Disgusting, sloppy, sickeningly pretty music that sounds like nintendo with very chaotic beats. only a handful of people like my music. i like to make 8 bit video games and visualizations. i like to add nonsense to the code to see what it will do. i like pretty girls more than anything else. there's something wrong with me. i have become so smart that i have gone backwards. i'm deeply religious in a way that no one else i've ever met is, and i was into theoretical physics and cosmology since before it was fashionable. i have a monoploy on something very rare which makes me valuable. i'm a star. i make things happen. i don't work very hard at anything therefore all that i have are things that i deserve. i have alot.

i was borne in 1979 in a poor community in northwest ohio. i was raised there, brought up in the ways of the Baha'i Faith, a very beautiful religion. i'm greatful for having such wisdom and beauty as my foundation. in other words i had a good childhood. but i very much fell from grace after an unexpected move to wisconsin. i was also raised on a commodore 64 computer which i was allowed to use on my own for as long as i can remember. my grandfather, who was a german refugee, was an excellent programmer and showed me lots of things from basic commands to the potential of computing. for that i am very grateful as well. one other important thing is that my father was the singer of a popular rock band called the "midnight reign band". for 12 years that's how he put the food on the table. he had hundreds of records and a record player which i was also allowed to use on my own since early childhood despite the fact that i once blew out the sunn speakers (sorry). my brother and sister and i would play the records one by one and dance and play to the music. these are my fondest memories. we would play them at different speeds and manipulate the sounds in funny ways. i think being able to control music so much back then helped me to understand the malleability of music and give me the lack of respect for music that i have today, which is why i can make it my motherfucking bitch. bitch. (i don't mean any of that).

when i was 10 years old i got my first casio keyboard for christmas. i don't remember which model it was because i have since taken it apart and lost the shell. it had the ability to record a simple musical phrase and play it back in a loop so you could play over it. i recorded versions of heart and soul because that is the song that every human being on earth is born automatically knowing how to play. i sort of became obsessed with the format of that song and played only greater and greater versions of it for about 10 years. thats why i cant really make anything except pretty music (but i try). every year for my birthday or christmas i always asked for a better keyboard. anyway when i was 12 i moved to wisconsin and started doing drugs, becoming obsessed with girls and not giving a shit about anything. throughout my teenage years i spent alot of time in institutions, drug treatment and juvenile detention centers. in the 1990's i got into raves and electronic music especially jungle and gabber (yes i spell it "gabber" and i called it "hardcore gabber" so why don't you fucking off?). then in 1998 i got about 1300$ from a trust fund and bought a roland jx-305. that's when i was first able to start making music to my liking. one time my friend chris borrowed me the "on" single by aphex twin and the songs "on" and "73 yips" changed my life. since then i have been following IDM (yeah i said IDM, you snobs) and perfecting my style of experimental electronic music. around the turn of the century i started playing shows and releasing albums. i've also done the music for some short films for the Milwaukee Student Film Festival with my main man 13, most significantly, "With my Good Eye Closed" by Vince Ream. i hope you enjoy the music.
