John Petrucci had mentioned in a interview that he particularly liked it because "it is very Dream-y and Pink Ployd-ish".

Pink Floyd meets Metallica [2]. That's way this song is fucking rules in live version.

There, there it is I swear he's gonna murder that poor kid Wait, I hear it again Don't turn on the lights until we Hear the way it ends Under Peruvian skies Vanessa regretfully waits The story unfolds in her eyes Where midnight hysteria's No big surprise Battered and bruised Always confusing The love that she's losing for hate Poor Vanessa Poor, poor Vanessa Hey, I hope you know I'm taking all of this with me when I go Shame, you're not to blame I'm the monster you created In your daddy's name Under Peruvian skies Vanessa regretfully waits The story unfolds in her eyes Where midnight hysteria's No big surprise Battered and bruised Always confusing The love that she's losing for hate Poor Vanessa Poor Vanessa Terror by night Liar by day Telling her secrets Won't take them away Under Peruvian skies Vanessa regretfully waits The story unfolds in her eyes Where midnight hysteria's No big surprise Battered and bruised Always confusing The love that she's losing for hate

Actually, this is the first time I've heard this tune and I didn't know it was DT without seeing the title...just doesn't seem to have a typical DT sound/feel to it...sounds more like Metallica for the most part.

The only good song from Falling Into Infinity, and one of their best songs ever.

I love this song. The live version is great. They play enter sandman so much better than metallica :P:L

I wouldn't call this the only bad song, but it is incredibly overrated. Sounds like a weak Load/ReLoad B-side with a good solo thrown in. No better than any of the other mainstream/pop rock on this album.
