There are three bands that go by this name:
1) Dreamhunter is a Swedish hard rock band that has released two albums; Kingdom Come in 2000 and Bad Attitude in 2001. Both albums have received a lot of praise in the hard rock press, no doubt thanks to the catchy, hookladen songs.
The band formed in the late seventies under the name Gain in Örebro, Sweden, and recorded three songs for the Swedish compilation album "Alsterett". They changed their name to Life Line and released two singles in 1986. In 1993 they released an 4-track CD "Anyway You Want It" with a new lineup. In 2000 they returned with almost the same lineup as in 1993. They took the name Dreamhunter, and recorded new albums.
2) There is also a post-rock band called DreamHunter.

3) There is also a mizo band from India formed in 1993. Their music mostly varies from psychedelic, acid rock and progressive rock. They released a debut self-title album on 1997.
