Biography

This band can be considered as one of the most innovating blues band in Europe of the late nineties.

The success of the debute CD “Drip Drip” led the band to performances on the world famous North Sea Jazz Festival and Hollands biggest alternative festival: Lowlands (45.000 att.), also appearing on the Luzerner Blues Sessions in Switserland, the prestigious South by South West festival in Austin, Texas (1999) and the Belgium Rhythm & Blues Festival.

After their label switch to Cool Buzz they launched many great records which all captured the momentum of their live shows. The band split up in 2003 but the echo still can be heard in the many bands that got inspired by the drive and sound of one of the most sensational blues bands that ever came around.

Cool Buzz's second release is the second CD from Drippin' Honey following their highly acclaimed debut album 'Drip Drip'. Their sound follows the way of the american blues rock bands in the sixties, leaving their bluesy roots for a harder drive. Screamin' guitar and harmonica over fat grooves and heavy ballads written by singer/songwriter Sander Kooiman.

Drippin' Honey's third and last release ‘Love the Curse' finds the band blending soul, blues and pop in their own special way. Cool Wurlitzer-sounds against Kim Snelten's raging harp. With influences ranging from Curtis Mayfield to D'Angelo, the twelve original songs by singer/guitarist Sander Kooiman leave you breathless everytime you hit 'play'.
