Biography
Dryft is a side-project of San Francisco based Mike Cadoo of the Technoid/ambient group Gridlock (dissolved in 2005).
The first album Cadoo releaside under the name Dryft was Cell (through the label unit year 2000).
the album featured an aggressive drum n bass form of Technoid, similar to the dark atmosphere and harshness of Gridlocks Further and The Synthetic Form albums.
Dryft's latest releases (an album and a single track on the compilation Statement of Purpose) took another path.
It features light melodic architecture over drum and bass influenced rhythms.
Cadoo currently focuses most of his time with Bitcrush (featuring Steve Watkins of Scar Tissue), as well as creating new Dryft material.
