Biography

Hailing from Brisbane, Australia, the 9 piece Reggae, Dancehall, Electronic/Acoustic mash up and sound blasting festival favourite have honed the deep down, high energy sound that has become instantly recognisable and slated as a must see act on the live music calendar. Combining fat electronic and acoustic drum rhythms, horns, synths, guitars and the completely unique vocal gynmastics of indigenous superstar D- Kazman, Dubmarine have vibe by the bucketload.

Their new single "Chip" is to be released nationally in November/December with performances in QLD/VIC/NSW with the final shows of 2009 and the launch of the "Live @ The Dreaming Festival" DVD to be held at the amazing Woodford Folk Festival.

Dubmarine were very proud and humbled to announce their nomination for the 'Best band of 2009' at the Deadly Awards held at the Sydney Opera House in October.

In fact 2009 has been a monumental year for Dubmarine all round, racking up appearances at Woodford Folk Festival (08/09 +09/10) The Dreaming Festival, Parklife, The Australasian World Music Festival, Brisbane Festival and the inaugural U Tribe Festival, as well as successful tours in QLD and NSW.

Dubmarine have been fortunate enough to appear alongside fantastic acts such Mad Professor(UK), Katchafire, The Black Seeds (NZ), Jah Mason, The Red Eyes, The Toothfaeries, Olmecha Supreme (NZ), and Kingtide to name a few.

Their Debut offering "Dub From the Deep" (2007) showcases some of the bombast Dubmarine are renowned for, brandishing their deep groove, fluid rhymes, and potent musical spices which found their way onto the airwaves receiving regular spins on Triple J, PBS, 3RRR FBI and SYN FM. This is merely a taste of things to come, with new single launching in nov/dec 2009. Full length album "Depth of Sound" is slated for release in early 2010 which has been lovingly crafted and refined in labs around Brisbane with Dub Distilling producer Andrew Stephens. Needless to say, excitement is high for another massive year in 2010.
