Biography
Starting in 2021, Dwaalgast is a new moniker for Portugal-born, Netherlands-based DJ and electronic music producer Nuno dos Santos. Dwaalgast is his collaboration with Dutch spoken word artist, Shari Klein. Their first single/EP is called Pad (2021).
Nuno/Dwaalgast and Shari Klein have been friends for years; after Shari started writing (erotic) poems in the summer of 2020, the idea arose to get into the studio and immerse Shari's lyrics in the sounds of Dwaalgast.
The result is an EP with stories about connecting, going deep and the moon. About letting go and thinking about what matters. Pad gives Dutch spoken word a new spirit: where music, audio collage and words come together in a new way. She takes you to dark nights, sweaty armpits and long paths that you still seek to walk.
