Earthquake Retrofit is electronic musician Steve Mabrey. Since 2003 EQRF has been performing his unique brand of haunting, melodic soundscapes in and around the Pacific Northwest of America including annual appearances at Autonomous Mutant Fest.
His music is created using a wide variety of real and virtual instruments and effects.
On 'The Imaginary Robotic Quartet' he uses a variety of data sources, including from radio telescopes, to create sonic space-scapes.
The album 'Compared to the Rain' shows something of a new direction in his recordings.
