The Benny Blanco-produced “Castle On The Hill,” described on iTunes as a “life-affirming pop rocket,” pays homage to Ed Sheeran’s upbringing in the English countryside town of Framlingham, Suffolk. The song was released in tandem with “Shape Of You.” The two songs are the first releases from his upcoming third album, ÷ (Divide), following in the mathematical footsteps of his + (Plus) and x (Multiply) albums.
Ed said this about the song: This is a love song for Suffolk, because I don’t think anyone has ever done that.
