Only thing I do not like about this album is the Mix. Everything sounds like it's overlapping each other. I find it hard to focus on an instrument and it is hard to understand Dan's growls. His growls sound fantastic but they are lost in the mix. But i find this to be the better of the crimson albums.

Also, I don’t give a fuck how unpopular this opinion is: I love this pretty much every bit as much as the original. It may not be quite as brilliant or groundbreaking, but it’s a worthy successor full of amazing riffs and some of the best death growls I’ve ever heard.

The original CD release of this album was also 44 tracks. Source: I own it. The 9-track mp3 version that usually floats around the intarwebs was an early promo leak which was missing some sections; Swanö added more to the album afterwards. I made my own 9-track version from a CD image because really, 44 tracks is overkill.

Fantastic album, although Crimson I is still pretty amazing. Also..who IS Lillägna?

As for my thoughts on the album...fucking incredible. I feel like the craftmanship surpasses even the first Crimson, and that was a high bar.

As an extension from last one...I have the mp3 version of said remaster/best of, which has it in 11 parts (Aftermath I, II and III.) A bit of a clusterfuck, really.

Great album. For those curious, the 44 track version was a botched CD release for the When All Is Said release...it was later corrected for the mp3 album of the collection. Think the review of it on Amazon I saw said the same for the first Crimson...so basically, if you're buying that remastered/best of collection, buy the mp3 album.

Great album. Really wish it was all on one track through. I own it on CD and the constant volume increases when the track changes really blows.

It's one of my all-time favorite Metal Albums. Last week I finally bought the CD, too, and WTF! There are parts in there that I have never heard! Had this 9track dl version and as it seems the dude who compiled it must have left out some tracks!!

The reason they split it into so many tracks is because the first Crimson ended up being sold as a single in a lot of countries, which caused all sorts of confusion with pricing.

Ummm, you guys do realize that whether it's a 9, 44 or single track version, the music is still the same? And still bloody awesome.

I ripped my disc as a single track. It makes me feel very important and well-endowed.

Real men use single-track Crimson II [7] I used to have the single track Crimson II, then my computer crashed and I couldn't find it again. Anyone have a link?

Does anyone know what the concept of this album is? I know Crimson's, but not this one...

Such an amazing album. I have a hard time imagining that Crimson I could be better, but who knows :) [2]

Well since I can't find the... 44 track version. It looks like I'll have to settle with the single track version. Oh well, all the same.

Finally managed to get the 44 tracks into 9 tracks without pauses and gaps. Great album but falls short to Crimson I,many riffs are repeated and taken from the original.

9 track version uber ales... if you cut it properly the whole thing still sounds like one song (you can't hear the transitions).... the transitions on the 44 track version made me hate this album.
